01Our IV therapies
Therapies we run routinely.
This is what we deliver day to day — not the limit of what we can source. If you need something that isn't here, call us and we will tell you honestly whether we can get it.
Nutrition & hydration
- Total Parenteral Nutrition
- Compounded to the patient's formula, with ongoing metabolic monitoring and formula adjustment as labs change.
- Hydration therapy
- Fluid and electrolyte replacement for dehydration and related conditions, including short-course and maintenance regimens.
Anti-infective
- Antibiotic therapy
- Extended IV courses — osteomyelitis, endocarditis, complicated cellulitis — completed at home rather than occupying an inpatient bed.
- Antifungal therapy
- Systemic antifungal regimens with the monitoring the protocol requires.
Trough levels drawn and reviewed under our pharmacokinetic service, with dose
adjustments communicated back to the prescriber.
Oncology
- Chemotherapy
- Hazardous agents prepared under USP <800> handling requirements from receipt through compounding, storage, and transport.
- Supportive care
- Antiemetics, hydration, and growth factor support alongside the primary regimen.
Pain management
- Continuous IV analgesia
- Pump-delivered infusions with clinical oversight and titration to comfort.
- Intermittent dosing
- Scheduled and breakthrough regimens coordinated with the prescriber.
Controlled substances. Send these through your EPCS-certified
e-prescribing workflow. They cannot be authorized through the provider portal.
Specialty & biologics
- Specialty IV products
- Biologic infusions including immunoglobulin and enzyme replacement therapy.
- Injectables
- Supplied with all necessary ancillary supplies so nothing is missing at the bedside.
- Subcutaneous infusion
- Pump configuration and supervised first self-infusion for patients transitioning to home administration.
Anticoagulation & chelation
- Anti-coagulation
- Anticoagulant therapy with the laboratory monitoring and dose management the protocol requires.
- Chelation therapy
- Chelation courses managed with appropriate laboratory follow-up.
02Clinical services
The pharmacy work around the therapy.
A bag of fluid is the smallest part of home infusion. These are the services that decide whether a patient finishes the course.
- 01Line management Care and troubleshooting of the access device, with escalation when a line fails.
- 02Bedside PICC placement Placement arranged without a facility trip, so therapy can start at home.
- 03Pharmacokinetics Therapeutic drug monitoring with dosing adjusted to measured levels, not to a nomogram.
- 04Interaction screening The full medication profile reviewed before every compound.
- 05Nursing coordination Infusion nursing scheduled alongside the therapy and the delivery.
- 06After-hours cover On-call pharmacist, nurse, and delivery staff. Infusion problems do not wait for Monday.
03Why home infusion
- No admission
- Therapy runs at home instead of consuming an inpatient bed or an infusion-suite chair.
- Lower cost of care
- Avoids the facility charges attached to delivering the same therapy inpatient.
- Lower exposure
- Less time in a facility matters for immunocompromised patients.
- Better completion
- Patients treated inside their own routine are more likely to finish the course.
- Delivery
- Medications and all ancillary supplies delivered by our own staff or an approved courier. Stat dose where available, same day, and next day. Local delivery available.
- Coverage
- Medicare and private commercial insurance. See contracted plans
- Service area
- Throughout Florida, from our pharmacy in Delray Beach.
