Before we dispense
We verify your insurance benefits before dispensing so you know what to expect. If your plan requires prior authorization, we obtain it. We will tell you your expected out-of-pocket cost before your first fill — you should never be surprised by a copay at the door.
If your cost is unaffordable
We research, on your behalf and at no charge:
- Manufacturer copay cards and coupons
- Manufacturer patient assistance programs
- Independent charitable foundation grants
- Alternative therapies that may be covered, in consultation with your prescriber
- Appeals where your plan has denied coverage
Eligibility for these programs is set by the program sponsor, not by us. Some are restricted by insurance type — for example, many manufacturer copay cards cannot be used by patients with government insurance. We will tell you what you actually qualify for rather than raising false hope.
Insurance
We bill your plan directly where we are contracted — see our list of contracted payers. You are responsible for any copay, coinsurance, or deductible your plan applies, and for charges your plan does not cover. If your coverage changes, tell us immediately so we can re-verify before your next fill.
If you do not have insurance
Tell us. We will give you the cash price before dispensing and look for assistance programs that accept uninsured patients. NEEDS CLIENT INPUT: Confirm whether a self-pay discount or sliding scale policy exists, and state it here
Payment
NEEDS CLIENT INPUT: Confirm accepted payment methods, whether payment plans are offered, and any policy on balances
Questions about a bill
You have the right to an explanation of your bill regardless of who pays it. Call 888.272.9055 and ask for billing. If you believe a charge is wrong, tell us and we will review it.
Returns
For patient safety and under Florida law, dispensed prescription medication generally cannot be returned or restocked once it has left the pharmacy. If there is a problem with what you received — damage, a temperature excursion, or a dispensing error — call us immediately and do not use it.
