Your doctor sent your prescription here. Here's what happens now.
Specialty medications come with insurance hurdles that ordinary prescriptions don't. We handle those for you — and we'll call you before you have to call us.
From prescription to your front door
- We receive your prescription
Your prescriber sends it to us by phone, fax, or electronically. A pharmacist is assigned to your case that day.
- We check your insurance
We find out exactly what your plan covers and what you would owe. If your plan requires prior authorization, we prepare and submit it — and we appeal it if it comes back denied.
- We look for help with the cost
If your out-of-pocket cost is high, we search for copay cards, manufacturer programs, and independent foundation assistance before we ask you to pay anything.
- We call you
A pharmacist explains what your medication does, how to take or inject it, how to store it, and what side effects to watch for. Ask anything — that call is for you.
- We deliver
Your medication is delivered to your home with everything you need to use it. Same-day and next-day options are available, and we schedule around you.
- We stay with you
We check in after you start, help you manage side effects, and coordinate refills ahead of time so you never run out.
If you can't afford it, tell us before you skip a dose
A high copay is a problem we work on, not a conversation ender. There are often programs that bring the cost down substantially — and finding them is part of our job, not yours.
- Manufacturer copay cards
- Independent charitable foundations
- Patient assistance programs
- Appeals when your plan says no
Questions patients ask us
How long before I get my medication?
It depends almost entirely on your insurance. If no prior authorization is needed, it can be very fast — often same or next day. If your plan requires prior authorization, the wait is driven by how quickly the insurer responds. We will tell you where things stand rather than leaving you guessing.
What is a prior authorization?
It is your insurance company requiring documented justification before agreeing to cover a medication. We prepare that documentation with your prescriber's office and submit it. If it is denied, we can appeal.
Do you deliver to my area?
We serve patients throughout Florida. Local delivery is available, and we ship elsewhere in the state. Call us to confirm the options for your address.
Can I talk to a pharmacist after hours?
Yes. An on-call pharmacist covers nights and weekends. If you are having a medical emergency, call 911 instead.
Can I transfer my prescription to you?
In most cases yes. Call us with the name of your current pharmacy and the medication, and we will handle the transfer request. Some specialty medications are restricted to certain pharmacies by the manufacturer or your plan — we will tell you honestly if that applies.
How do you protect my information?
We are required by law to protect your health information. Read our Notice of Privacy Practices for your rights and how your information may be used, and our Patient Rights & Responsibilities.
How do I make a complaint?
Tell us — we want to hear it, and it will not affect your care. Our complaint and grievance process explains how to raise a concern with us and how to escalate it to an outside body if you are not satisfied.
